What are the new regulations for gas furnaces and water heaters in California?
California is moving away from gas-burning home appliances. Under the state's zero-emission appliance standards, new residential gas furnaces and gas water heaters are being phased out beginning in 2027, with electric heat pump models becoming the standard.
